Educates students in English with the help of English speaking volunteers. Each week long course relies on groups of ten to 15 volunteers teaching informally in scenic settings in the Czech Republic. Students are able to listen to English accents and overcome any shyness in speaking the language, while volunteers can enjoy the culture, try Czech cuisine and sample its famous beer.

Where: Hotels near Prague.
Accommodation & Costs: No fee to participate. Full board accommodation in a hotel, usually with a spa, with some money behind the bar for drinks. Local transport is also covered.

Angloville has crossed the border from Poland and expanded its immersive English language programme in Czech Republic. Native English speakers are required to help their clients improve their English through a series of conversations and activities, reaping the rewards of free hotel accommodation, food and drink in the process.

They are a small organisation but should your skills match their current needs and capabilities Burma Center Prague like to accept the help of volunteers and interns, without whom their work seeking to improve the lives of people in Burma and Burmese in exile would not be possible.

JAHODA is a non profit NGO supporting children and families in a suburb of Prague through clubs for children and teenagers, a family centre, a nursery school and street work. Volunteers are welcomed to get involved.

In addition to sending Czechs to volunteer in 70 countries around the world, INEX-SDA arranges 30 workcamps across the Czech Republic, where seven to 16 international volunteers can take part in the activities. The site had a few dud links when we visited and despite English language information not much more useful information was forthcoming. Each workcamp is led by a two volunteer camp leaders. Most of these roles are taken by Czechs and Czech speakers but there are a limited number of places for non Czech speaking camp leaders too.

Meaning 'Living Memory' Živá pamět run a counselling centre for survivors of Nazism in the Czech Republic. They do have a volunteer with us page but it's blank.
